Jacinda Shanks grew up in the Atlanta, GA area and attended Greater Atlanta Christian School from Kindergarten-graduation. She then went on to attend & graduate from Abilene Christian University in 1995 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She taught 6th grade at Lubbock Christian School for one year then taught 2nd grade for three years in Uvalde, TX.
Jacinda and her husband, Chris, were married in 1994 and have lived in Abilene, Lubbock, Uvalde, Aiken, SC, and now Houston where she has worked as a part-time Administrative Assistant at Memorial since 2009. She retired from teaching in 2000 when their oldest was born and has loved her stay-at-home mom years. She & Chris have three daughters and one son-in-law, Gracie & Logan Jones, who were married in August 2022, and Katie, who began as a freshman at Harding University in August 2022, & Ellie, who began as a freshman in high school in August 2022.
Jacinda enjoys not much more than just hanging out at home with her family. She loves her church family and looks forward to worshiping & fellowshipping with all of her Memorial family. In addition, working in the church office brings her many laughs!
